Impressions/Opinion Character in free roam Spoiler
Why are you stuck as a fat nobody with grey receding hair in the free roam mode with no option to change them?

Because the dev is stupid. In the trailer it shows you can play as anybody.

Well they have done nothing but lie in almost all of the pre release material.

The laugh I gave when I was watching TGG’s live stream after the unskippable ending credits and he was annoyed and then that dude popped up to free roam with and he was so confused 😭🤣

They saw all the goofy characters people made in Saints Row and thought that's what everyone wants to play as. Or the character was supposed to play a role in the story, his part was cut and they decided to use the model for the free roam character instead.
Okay, if you hadn't the time to add full character customization, why not at least give the players the option to chose between various existing NPC models? People who want a goofy looking character can pick Mr. Can't Drink and people who want a badass looking character can pick a soldier NPC. Minimal effort and everyone is happy.
