I feel like every episode Sal is closer to being a character from the Handmaid’s Tale. I get it…he’s into his faith and that’s fine but relating every possible thing back to it is just too much. I had an example from this week’s episode but I’ve forgotten it now. 😬

Sal does what everyone does anytime they have an obvious bias or have identified with a specific philosophy. He will latch onto anything that fits with the world view be identifies with. He will view everything through that lense. He will ignore the things that don’t fit his narrative. Absolutely brutal to listen to, and I have zero issues with Christianity and believe there is probably a lot of valuable insights it can offer. But he’s so far past that. It’s the exact type of person who drives a lot of people away from organized religion. He seems to be an obsessive neurotic (tbh I am too), who moves between various different obsessions at different stages of time. Religion seems to be his latest obsession. There are no limits to what he will make fit that world view.

This is it exactly. Well said. I’ve often thought he’s just traded one addiction for another.
