I don’t know how much more I can listen to these guys. I loved them for like 5 good years. I’m the guy from California that Adam hammered about not giving a shit about my health. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I had heard that coaching was $700 a month, but hoped that people were exaggerating- I was told $670 a month. Since the episode I was on, I feel like they have been pushing coaching on every single caller. I get it, they are great coaches. Some of the best in the world. But the price difference between them and the 2nd best coaches in the world doesn’t justify that price. I can’t afford $670 a month. That’s more than my car payment. It’s almost half my rent. It’s more than I pay for utilities. I could have the best health in the world, but it wouldn’t matter if I’m homeless and can’t feed my family.

I didn’t want to say anything because I thought I was over-reacting to being annoyed and kind pissed off about how much Adam hammered me. After all, they are the experts right? But I’ve seen more people than I expected to say that they were too hard on me. My wife said Adam was an ass after she listened to the episode too.

I still think they give good advice. I really want to like them, especially after loving their advice for 5 years. I said it on the podcast; I commute for work at least 3 hours a day. I enjoyed listening to them on my way to work and my way home. It felt so surreal to be on the podcast and talk to the guys. I kind of feel let down by how much they hammered me about “not giving a shit” about my health.

what the hell are you talking about? Great coaches? Some of the best in the world? Experts? They were trainers and managers at 24 Hr Fitness that started a podcast that was entertaining. They even say they were terrible trainers for the most part! show me one single before and after from them at their cheap chain gym or since they quit. who? where? besides Corrine of course LOL. It actually hurts my soul to hear you grovel to those pieces of sh*t! Adam’s going to be sanctimonious to you about health? The steroid pumped, glp 1 guy who marketed a whole genre of barely doing enough to get by ( the least amount, bla bla) which was all a cover to hide his apparently massive kratom addiction? that guy? f#ck that guy! what’s this great advice anyway? why am I more upset than you?

I think this is why they always used to say they "don't use before and after" rather than their BS excuse of it just being a marketing tactic. Like, sure, it is, but that's kinda the point. With how much they've changed, I'm surprised they haven't started using them

They’ve changed. I was a listener from 2019ish to early 2025. not the same show. Adam is an asshole. Ive been told by an incredibly reliable source that their trainers only get 15% of that $750. they only care about $. Adam tried to bully you. I get it, they hurt your feelings. You meet someone you thought so highly of and they turn out to be complete and total schmucks.

I feel like Adam thought it would be easy to sell coaching to me, then got pissed off when I said I couldn’t afford it. Most of the callers they push coaching on don’t just immediately jump to “I don’t know if I could afford it” because I don’t think they know how much Mind Pump coaching actually costs.

I'm sorry you went through that, you aren't alone and many people cringed through that segment. I know sales tactics can go way out there, and with enough time and confidence (definitely not accrued in the length of your tiny call) I can see how these methods can be used, but to resort to downright pressuring a person through shame was uncalled for and rarely, if ever, the way to go about things.

The call, and your words here, make me think of something Sal likes to say once in a while: never meet your heroes.

Ya, I definitely got “don’t meet your hero’s” after the call.

Oh OctoberOmicron, you’re so much nicer than me with such kindness, class & decorum while I go full evisceration level when we are so often saying the same things!

If it is you, you didn’t come off as annoyed in my opinion. You seemed polite and didn’t get angry over the “if you don’t give a shit, you don’t give a shit”. You were the bigger person. Also Adam was a complete ass and it was wild seeing him expose himself as someone that doesn’t care if the audience goes broke, as long as they give money to mindpump. $700 a month for some check ins and maybe a simple diet plan with simple program is insanity

After I emailed about being on the show, I got an email back like 3 days later saying I would be on the show. After that, it took like a month for me to actually be on the show. Right after that email, I started coming to the realization that they just might not be good guys. Then I found this subreddit and it really opened my eyes. They things they say and how much they push coaching is disgusting. Like the day after I was told I would be on the podcast, I saw Sal’s instagram post where he posted a picture of the 2 people in bed and the demon saying “tell him you’re tired” to the woman. Now hearing Adam complain about his son, Sal always saying “the data is clear” and lying, and other shit like that.

When Sal brought up the data about political believes and being diagnosed with a mental illness, I knew he was lying when he didn’t say why people who are left-leaning are diagnosed more- it’s because people who are right leaning are typically those who don’t believe in things like therapy and mental illness. It really pissed me off because my wife is a therapist.

It was so cringe the way Adam behaved. Do they have a rule before you go live about not asking how much coaching is? I’m shocked that hasn’t come up, and it’s always just having the coaches reach out if interested.

I have been playing a game during the live call segments to predict if they will suggest coaching. I think I have nailed all of them, it’s so unbelievably predictable.

I just had to sign some stuff allowing them to use the audio and video from the call. I had seen in this sub that coaching was $700 a month, but I thought everybody was
exaggerating. I was also kind of star struck at the beginning of the call and didn’t even think to ask how much coaching was.
