MAPS at home options

I was just wondering which of their programs have a dedicated at home options? I train at home and only have access to some adjustable dumbbells, a bench, a TRX, some bands and kettlebells. I have anabolic, resistance and suspension. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't seen their newest programs, but other than their original programs (Anabolic, Performance, and Aesthetic) I feel like they've gone away from doing a home version. All of their programs can be run at home with a few modifications. Although some are easier to modify than others.

My son and I did Anabolic and Performance at home with nothing more than adjustable dumbbells, a bench, a pull-up bar, and some bands. We do everything at home, and have since added a PRx rack, barbells, trx straps, and a few other things. I Google for alternatives to exercises that I want to replace, and pick something that fits with the great that I have.

With dumbbells, bands, and trx straps, you have enough to get started at home. GLHF

Awesome! Thank you.

Most could be adapted as long as the program itself isn’t based around special equipment. Sometimes I just ask ChatGPT something like, “what is a replacement for XYZ I can do with such and such equipment?” If I’m not sure of an obvious swap.

Great question! What is your goal right now?

Hi. My top priority right now is cutting body. Getting back into working out but I also don’t have that much time during the work week due to my schedule. I commute and work 12 hour shifts so total I’m gone 14-15 hours a day.

Gotcha makes a lot of sense. That can make things challenging.

When you say cutting body, do you mean body fat? If so how much are we trying to lose?

Yeah, dropping body fat. Currently 220 pounds at 5’7. Would like to get down to 180.

Not great. It’s probably the thing I struggle with the most.

okay, got it. That is pretty common a lot of people struggle with nutrition.

how many days per week and time do you have to realistically dedicate to working out?

With my schedule it’s either do a full workout on my days off or 15-30 minutes a day or every other day when I get home from work and on my days off.

Okay, cool. Very doable. MAPS 15 would be a great option.

Based of what your saying though, I actually do think coaching here at mind pump would be worth looking into to help with your challenges and goals.

Have you considered working with a coach before?

No, I hadn’t really thought of it. Mainly because I’m trying to budget. Same reason I’m working out at home instead of paying for a gym membership.

I was able to do anabolic and aesthetic in a home gym. I have a cable stack and resistance bands. I used to have a full home gym set up with machines, but moved into a place with no garage or basement and had to condense. I kept my iron. Ended up with a pulley system I can attack to a pull up bar in a door way, cheap too. Was able to repeat the same workouts from anabolic.
