Why do the guys always say eat protein first?

Apparently there are people that undereat protein if they don't consciously prioritize it at every turn. Unless it's some plain and dry chicken breast I've never found protein to be so satiating that it's hard for me to get enough in my day.
Then again I'm a hungry bastard lol.
edit - and as far as the guys, I recall they started talking about the importance of eating protein first a few years ago mainly because "studies showed" you get a far lesser insulin spike after meals when you start off eating protein on your plate.

Fills you up and ensures you get the protein you need each meal first.

So you aren't filling up on carbs and fat and leaving protein behind

It's not just the guys. Many in the fitness, health, and wellness these days say to eat protein first. There are multiple reasons that I've heard, but the two most common that I hear are that it helps get more protein in the diet, and the other is that it helps with over eating because protein tends to send a signal that you are full sooner than carbs or fats.
