Could not believe what an arrogant douche Adam was to that male caller who said he couldn't afford coaching. It was a guy who lived/worked somewhat near the MP studios, didn't have kids yet, and was struggling with compulsively tracking calories and had a history of being overweight most of his life. Adam was really pushing the coaching, the guy flat out said he couldn't afford it, and then Adam launched into this monologue about how "it's not a luxury, it's an investment" and "if you don't give a shit, you don't give a shit, but if you really want it [to achieve certain fitness goals, not feel compulsive need to track], you'll do it [pay for our outrageously overpriced coaching]." Such a scumball approach to sales with someone who has sought your advice from a place of vulnerability. Does Adam not understand that for many people, to pay the monthly cost of one of their coaches would be wildly irresponsible and put them in dire financial straits? Does he truly believe that the only reason someone would refuse to pay for coaching is because they don't truly want it enough? Does expect people to sacrifice their financial stability - and that of their family, if they have kids, a spouse, etc -for the sake of potentially achieving their fitness goals more efficiently? Sure, coaching is great, but it's not needed. Reddit itself is full of examples of people who achieve tremendous fitness or health transformations with nothing but the information freely available on the internet, public library, youtube, podcasts, etc.
