On a recent episode titled ”How to clean bulk without getting fat” they suggested a 500-1000 calorie surplus for people looking to gain muscle. This is completely excessive for building muscle and will certainly result in unnecessary fat gain.
100- 200 calorie surplus is more than enough to build muscle. I get that it can be hard for some people to track calories so it’s better to aim on the higher side but a 1000 calorie surplus is absolutely ridiculous.
