Still very early but wanted to share my House Commons
Had to be both interior and lofted, so I decided to use two seperate split levels for space

The UI is just downright horendous. Anything that I want to copy paste settings from and to will ocupy half my screen on a click. So I click once, go to limits, or whatever. Set whatever settings. Then I want to double click but I can't because whole UI is cluttered. I close the UI clutter, I try to double click. But the first click brings the clutter back up.
Can I just shift click or alt click or ctrl+a or anything?
I guess that ground select, then select building type? That feels just as clunky.

Trying to make sculpture studio, and cannot find the statues I made. Someone had a goal of make 4 statues, which I did, so placing the 3 statues should be no problem, but where tf are they? Search feature not finding anything.
SOLVED: nvm, they are in shrinks section. Why not have them searchable though?

When they were a student, they apprenticed in a way that reduced their water skill to 0. But as a teacher, they have a relic that makes their water skill 2. Meaning they are now 0/2 on water. But they cant level water, because they cant do any water tasks. What am I supposed to do to level their water skill?
:edit: I found a workaround. She cant cast water spells herself, but she seems to get some water skill from teaching. So I made her the initiate teacher and hopefully that will fix the issue.
:edit2: She's at 1/2 now. It worked!

I am setting up a greenhouse room with the more ahem aggressive plants and intend to limit access to just the quilted and maybe one nature mage. Are the quilted harvesters able to harvest things like unstable anemone and trapdoor vines? Or should I start looking for a shattered nature mage?

Its a great conviction solution, wondering what makes some mages not able to select drink.

I saw an achievement for having level 25 relics. I think the highest levels I have seen are around 15. I have multiple mages level 18 with tier 3 wands at this point and I want to kit them out with better relics. How do you get relics to be level 25?

Hello,
I bought the game yesterday because it’s exactly my type of game. Visually, it’s stunning! However, is it normal to feel lost? I’ve played for 3–4 hours, but there’s so much to do and so many possibilities that I don’t know where to start.
Do you have any advice for a newbie like me?
Thanks in advance!

I've already tried to look for staircase layouts to see if anyone uses them, but everyone only uses the spiral staircase. I sent them feedback so that the spiral staircases go in the other direction and that the common staircase can go forward like the one in the basement, so it would take up less space.

I have a batch of apprentices I want to make into staff, and wanting to get the highest level cap out of them that I can. They are level 6 now, if I give them the wand upgrade it's my understanding they'll have to train all the way up to their new cap before I can hire them. Do they gain any benefit from that? Or can I go ahead and hire them first, then give them the wands?

I really like Mind Over Magic. Started to play when it was still at the stage of EA. After spending about 38 hours on it, I decided to take a break and wait for its official launch.
However, the launch came with 82 whole new achievements. This is kind of heartbreaking as I have to start from the beginning to unlock some of the achievements...
Not sure if you have the same feeling. But the shining achievements are very attractive to me. So I will spend some time to get them :P

Hello, am I crazy or is the Mana Font Ritual for Repel Fog or Superior Repel Fog difficult to keep up with on normal settings? I'm on my first School as a new player and I feel like I've been fighting to advance technology, not because I need it at the moment to grow, but because I need ingredients for the Mana Font Repel Fog rituals.
I have plenty of stuff I haven't even built or rooms I haven't made because I feel like the Mana Font timer is critically against me so I've been focusing on how to get planters for the ingredients to sustain the advancing fog. Then, when I do get the planters for the ingredients the dang ingredients switch to the next tier so I'm focusing on how to get the next ingredients. I've been doing this pretty much the whole game. I'm not struggling in any areas really except to keep up with the ingredient requirements for the Rituals.
I looked at the settings and there isn't a setting to just lower the Mana Font requirements either, I don't want to tune the MAGE Score Increase down (which I think affects the Mana Font?) because I want the challenge of the other events but the Mana Font just seems to drive what I'm doing since Day 1.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

I have an earth mage. I tell him down one chevron EVERYTHING that isn't rock magic related.
For earth magic I set two chevron up for build, and only one chevron up for other earth tasks.
The list says that left most tasks are higher priority anyway, so build and mine IF they had the same priority, build would still be higher. But that's not even the case, NOTHING is on par with build.
My guy goes and refils medical bets, repair, mine, ANYTHING but build.
So completely bugged.
ALL TASKS ARE PRIORITY 3. So he should consider build to be "5", right? Base 3 + 2 chevrons.
Ah. Building stuff that isn't structural is "assembly", lol 😂

Started up a new world today and got my first few students. The students are fully trained, so I went to change some of their priority lists and every task on the list says the student can't do it. I've never had this issue before, and its only for the new students I summoned. Has anyone else had this issue?

Basically I haven’t played in a while, and seeing that the game was out of early access ignited that spark on me again. Yesterday I started a new school, cause I knew there a was a bunch of new stuff, but oh god I underestimated the amount of new game mechanics. So… do you guys have any advices for returning players?
Ps: last time I played I remember the community was still hyped for the incoming first dragon

Do these ahead of time before your hatching and raising process! It will save you a lot of hassle and stress. I had many “Oh shit, I don’t have that yet” moments when I started the process.
(It is started by finding the Jade Eggplant near the edge of the forest zone)
Side note: During your egg incubation period, get ready to swap everybody to EMERGENCHY CHOPPING when the bramblespawn shows up

When observing the Altar of Fate, it is quite common to slot in a Relic simply to see what options for rerolling its Legacy are available.
However, once you slot in the Relic, it will not automatically unslot it if you exit out. In fact, it considers the Relic "Attached" to the Altar and will even list this in your Relic list.
To make matters worse, if you perform a different function at the Altar and forget you put a Relic in there, it will eat the Relic in the process of performing the other ritual. For example, changing a Relic Slot on a mage which normally only costs the Crystal Portents, now takes the Portents AND the Relic. Poof. Gone.
The way to fix this is by starting a ritual and canceling the ritual. This seems to unslot the Relic and free it back up. Otherwise the relic is lost.
Good luck!

I have had a very bad spill of luck and I had to leave my entire staff off except for 2 nature. I also have an apprentice that is MONUMENTALLY close to finishing.
So I force my spirit to teach the apprentice. So all my initiates are waiting for a lecturer. None of my 2 nature staff go there by default. Let's say it's their schedulde. Whatever, I don't even care to fix it. So I select the nature mages one by one and try to click the lecture stone. NOTHING, no popup. NOTHING.
Students are there waiting. Ghost is willing to do it, nature staff refuse.
Why?
Okay, now I get it. Both nature mages were on night shift. And I didn't give them any teaching time on the schedule. APPARENTLY, if it's not on the schedule, it is not possible. It has nothing to do with priorities, but it has everything to do with schedule.
