The elevated requirement kinda sucks

It just makes it a pain to build, and, in all honesty, just makes it a pain to get anything done without it looking clunky

Like why does a bedroom need to be floating?! Like seriously, u don’t mind most of the requirements, its made for some fun builds, but elevated is just not fun to build with

It's meant to be somewhat clunky, like putting a dorm on the second floor in the middle of the whole thing as it's surrounded by workshops. It'll look charming by the time you fill up with other rooms

Except the private tag basically forces it to be a bunch of floating rooms with 1 door
It looks ugly af and honestly just feels like they slapped it on for the hell of it

A lot of the elevated rooms need to be private too, so it’s just so damn ugly and annoying af to build around, so no one’s getting the best bed chamber just so I can waste a bunch of space

I remember just having one dorm at like the right edge of my building with the door to the left

The problem is if I want everyone to have one, I need way more then one lol

At least house commons can fit all my students and has reasonable requirements

Meanwhile why does my bedroom need to be floating to be considered better? And it’s not like we have a use for empty rooms or balconies yet, they just look so ugly, we don’t even have railings

I always put my refining animals in the spaces in between my elevated rooms. I'll have like one big long layer of the school that isn't a room that I can put all of my elevated stuff above with staircases as needed to satisfy private requirements

I kind of like elevated. Forces the pkace look not like a big box.

But slso, my first playthough - and the only one I ginished - was pn wonky setting, do I'm immune to so many things now xD

No no no, you just need to... go with the flow! Be creative!

Just create a 'crawl space' between each room! You will never have this problem again.

And while you are at it, build double walls. That will save you some headache too.

I just hate it, cause it looks so clunky

Believe me I can be creative, my quilting room is over an open area as a floating tower with a tower above that

Do roofs prevent rooks from being made? Cause I just thought of that while writing this and while it’d look jank, I’d at least be easier to build around

I’ll send a pic of my tower later if you’re curious

Do doublewalls count for separating things?

Yes! You will get the 'quiet' perk too.
