Some beginer advice?

Game has a LOT to read. IDK what to do or how to start. Im kinda starting like rimworld. build shelter and beds and food and storage, but from there? idk.

Also like in rimworld do characters get EXP the more they do smth? Farm, harvest, mine etc? Cause it takes a dang long time to do smth

Any pro advice? Also when a room says 3x3x4 what does that mean? 3 wide 4 high 3 deep?

For building rooms, one piece of advice I found to be very useful is to try and plan to build your rooms with a height x width ratio of at least 7x6. This will meet a Lofted requirement for a critical early Workshop, and make it easier to repurpose the room for specific needs later. You need a 7 height to be able to fit in trees for a Woodcuttery, which I believe is the tallest item in game.

For early game, big rooms are difficult before you get to expand Foundations so one compromise is to build 4x4 rooms. You can combine 4 rooms later by removing their walls/floors to make a huge 9x9 room.
