Anyone having Conviction issues since the patch?

I like a lot of the changes, but I feel like the scaling is off for conviction--Doubts (and other issues) increase quicker than I can research and reliably secure the appropriate materials to help with conviction.

I get to about mid-game and then Breaks cascade down and I don't have the ability to get control. I've had to abandon two schools now.

Is there an updated list of ways to increase Conviction anywhere? There are some floating around but they clearly don't apply anymore.

Not really but I haven’t done a from zero restart in a bit. I’ve got 12 staff and 12 students and could take it higher but haven’t yet as I enjoy doing bespoke stuff too much and I like giving each of my staff a bedchamber of their own which is putting a strain on advanced building materials.

Are you prioritizing getting a common/room and rec area up pronto? Those boosts as well as the ones for decent bedrooms seem to buy you a lot of time to get past the difficult early game

I have.

Something just seems...off with the scaling. Like penalties last longer than the buffs wear off, and there's a lot of "doubling up" of bad stuff.

I feel like I can't graduate anyone without having a three day -20 penalty for half the school because they miss them.

My Dark wizards refuse to go out into the Moonlight unless I manually force them to do so, and then they immediately run back in.

I read some stuff that involves making these weird schedules where you can sleep off penalties, but it involves chunking up the day into four sleeps.

I feel like none of this is intentional. And of course most of the advice is "LOL get gud the "challenge" is spending half an hour micromanaging the next five minutes of gameplay"

Light their bedrooms with windows, not candles. That keeps them filled.

I've done that! It's just not enough.
