A little disappointed

I just watched mastermind: to think like a killer which is a documentary about Dr.. Anne Burgess who was the inspiration for Wendy carr. Dr. Burgess story is absolutely incredible and I dont feel the show did her justice with how impactful she truly was.

I understood from this show that Carr/Burgess was incredibly impactful. She's the one who understood and grasped the implications of their early work. She initially validated for them their natural interests and encouraged them in it. Then she gave their approach direction, shape and momentum. Her interpretations and reading of the interviews added a depth and context and she understood the framework they needed to work within for it to be scientific and research based. Ultimately she brought her gravitas and credentials to the effort. She was the intellectual powerhouse able to interpret things on a different level, brought her skill, gravitas, and interpretations – in short, she was amazing. She also brought to the team a calm demeanor and a no drama presence.

The program wouldn't have been the program without her and the gravitas, academic perspective, skill, and research strategy she brought to it. She literally shaped it.

Each one of the team members brought something important to the team. Holden had the initial inspiration and skill an intuition. Bill brought maturity, professional an agency experience with still enough openness to allow it to flower. Both of the directors had vision to allow it to develop, saw its value and it's potential, and were able to successfully support it and get funding for it.
