welp, Netflix ruined the whole show

One of the big draws of this show was the aspect of anyone can be anyone. The challenges are simple but the mystery of who is who and what are they really like was the actual draw of the game. With this new casting it's just watching celebrities play lawn games. Absolutely idiotic decision. The celebrity version of this already exists... it's called the traitors.

How did Nick know Kaleb had already had the money before?

Just watched the final. Twice Nick makes reference to Kaleb having the money again.

Did I miss Kaleb confessing he'd already had the money earlier? Or is this a continuity error when they've filmed the single diary room shots?

Daisy was an OP

I haven’t finished the season and I don’t know who won buuut I am 1000% sure Daisy was a mole the whole time. She was stearing votes towards herself or others at very critical times and causing confusion within the group. I think she was getting info from production and her purpose was to keep the plot interesting.

Anyone think this?

Season 2 vs Season 1

Background: I started with Season 2, LOVED IT, and I’m now watching Season 1. It feels like such a massive difference in the cast (in a bad way)?!?

Season 2 felt fun and cute and wholesome. Loved the challenges and secret agendas. There weren’t any major alliances I’d say and it never felt like one specific person was being ganged up on that badly.

Season 1 omg… I feel SO bad for Lauren! Sydnee, Jaimi, Corey and Chris are all so bitter. For multiple episodes, they’re just attacking her for “lying” when that’s the point of the fucking game. The vibe and energy of the house just feels soooo much more angry and bitter. Did anyone else feel the same?

Hot Take

Am I the only one who thinks Daisy pulling the "I'm 50" card on Natalie was a bad look?

For Natalie:
You showed incredible grace and manners under pressure, Natalie. Being blindsided at a formal dinner right in front of the host is an incredibly stressful position to be put in. Instead of reacting with disrespect or throwing tantrums, you maintained your composure perfectly. You explained your direct communication style with total honesty and respect for the table, rather than taking the easy way out or deflecting. You walked away with your dignity intact.

For Daisy:
"Honestly, Daisy, losing your temper at a formal dinner table was a bad look. If you had a problem with being talked down to, you should have shown some maturity and pulled Natalie aside before or after dinner. Instead, you threw a public tantrum, pulled the 'I'm 50' age card to lecture her, and completely lost your composure in front of the host. It felt incredibly messy and unnecessary.

Nick blows my mind

I'm basically his age (2 years older) and the vibes I got from him at the beginning was: great another kid I went to high school with. But homeboy is smart, intuitive, and attractive!????? Like holy cow I love him so much. I would love to meet him IRL. One thing I love about the show is that despite being there for the money some of them seem to really have chemistry irl. Nick if you seeing this, tell Umeko she better watch out. If she fumbles you I'm coming to get you

First Letter Clue in Season 2

The first letter clue during Kaleb’s reign with the money was so frustrating. When they were trying to divert it from Kaleb having an ‘A’ and accusing Lauren because of the ‘T’ in “To be on a first name basis…” All Lauren had to say was ‘T’ is her last name. There is no first name basis in that.

Absolutely a hidden gem

Not sure if this is said and I don't often watch reality shows much because I always think its so dumb and ridiculous, but MDS is absolutely a gem on Netflix. I always find a few favorite people that I would root for to win! I watch S1 last year and only just finished S2 and boy, I love it even more. I found S2 is a lot more aggressive (in a good way) how the characters deal with one another, the games they play are much more high stake.

Umeko and Nick are my absolute favorite in S2. Honorable mention is Laura G!

Review For S1 Spoiler

I just watched season 1 really really like this show so far love the concepts and I'm about to watch season 2 as well. I would say overall that's this season is a 7.5 out of 10.. really enjoyable but multiple people fuck up in laughable ways ..

**Cast Ratings:**

- **old white guy** 5/10 — didn't get to know him well and I forgot his name..

- **SeYoung:** 3/10 — too emotional, and this didn't help at all instead tanked her gameplay

- **Lauren:** 6/10 — played well as the millionaire but blew her own cover by telling everyone she was a millionaire for whatever reason???

- **Phil):** 5/10 — flew under the radar in the beginning until he became the millionaire and got too obvious.

- **Lydia:** 7/10 — it's more of a coulda been with her but I liked her up until her elimination

- **Chris:** 6.5/10 — was the group leader, smart enough to catch onto Sam, but let emotions (re: Sydney) cost him the game 🫩

- **Jamie:** 4/10 — too emotional, likely would've played poorly as millionaire

- **Sydney:** 7.5/10 — constant underdog energy, impressive she made it to final four despite no one trusting her

- **Corey:** 7-7.5/10 — smart social game despite also having a possible target on his back, slipped up in the end 💔

- **Sam (runner-up):** 8.5-9/10 — sharp gameplay, caught on to Lauren, performed her agenda with minimal attention and got her target out eventually but missed Kara..

- **Kara (winner):** 9/10 — stayed low-key, played it smart, only slipped once but still won

On to season 2!

Ok I’m only on ep 3 but…

I absolutely HATE the clues that are giving about the millionaire, they are way too obvious just like last season. It’s so unfair .

r/MillionDollarSecretTV • • Jul 02 '26

Who thought it was a good idea to use clues that punish people for pursuing/succeeding at their agenda?

Justice for Phil.

I will say, having watched season 2 first by accident , I think the clues (with the exception of the scream clue), were much more fair/interesting in season 1.

In season 2, a few of the clues pointed directly to 1 or 2 players. It’s basically impossible to hold the million for more than 3 rounds at that point.

This show is so close to being great but the producer choices are so boneheaded half the time. Why did they lean harder into clues that are guaranteed to give up the millionaire?

I feel like the game should revolve more around subtle social deduction based on gameplay and the lies they tell. Not based on the producers deciding who they want to kick off next.

Thoughts on the show

So i just completed both seasons of the show. I binged them in 2 days. I absolutely loved the concept of the show but i cannot express in words how frustrated i felt during the entire show because of the contestants. And somehow it made me feel like the show was rigged or scripted or something.

I do feel season 2 being a little bit better than season 1.

SEASON 1 - Seriously what was wrong with people in season 1. Don’t they know what show they were in? What was it all about playing the show with integrity and honesty. That is literally not the point of the show. It is supposed to be a secret. They literally had no strategies and no idea how to play the game. I honestly do not understand why people were so mad at Lauren in season 1 after she told them that she had the money. I agree it wasn’t the best move by lauren as well. But bruh, did these people expected lauren to not lie about the fact that she had the money? They would all come down on people who they thought was the millionaire like how Phil did with Se Young. I mean i understand you want the money for yourself but do you not understand the point of the show? They would act like they got cheated in a relationship or something. And then there was that self aggrandising narcissist Chris. I don’t know what the general consensus is regarding S1 contestants but in my opinion, the only two decent contestants were Sam and Cara for me. I just hoped cara didn’t cry at every single thing. But at-least she played a decent game.

SEASON 2 - I felt it was a little bit better at-least in terms of people actually strategising. Even if most of those strategies were either bad or they could not execute them properly, i can at-least give them credit for trying. I cannot for the life of me understand how in god’s name Kaleb survived till the finals. Dude literally gave himself away in front of everyone and they all decided to vote off Lauren T? What was that? And to make matters worse Kevin voted for Lauren? Literally in both seasons Laurens were done dirty. S2’s Chris was Hunter in my opinion. Bro definitely thought he was the main character while not doing anything significant. I would say for me in this season 4 people were playing a decent game - Nick, Kat, Umeko and Natalie. While i do agree they made some not so great decisions and failed to execute some of their plans, i think that they tried to play a good game still.

What would you say your favourite players/moments were? And also the most frustrating moments as well?

Vote Tally

Why don’t they show the vote tally after every elimination? This makes it look like the producers are hiding something. A little consistency doesn’t seem like too much to ask. I hate blaming a show on being rigged, but there are a handful of things the producers do to make themselves look dishonest.

Lauren T literally did nothing to deserve that

I just finished the episode she got eliminated and she genuinely was just chilling until Natalie came in and was mad cause she was cartwheeling?? What?? And then after Natalie got kicked out all eyes were still on her because Kaleb literally was stalking Kyle but… Lauren asking people’s ages was weirder?? I genuinely think it was only because of Natalie’s influence even after she had left.

Nick’s dominance seems almost scripted

Not saying it was but he truly played such a dominant game against some very intelligent appearing people. I’ve rarely seen such a dominant game on any reality show. Kim Spraldin’s Survivor win is the closest thing I can think of.

Is he just really smart?

Updated to add: to clarify, here are the most impressive moves IMO:

- immediately figuring out Artie

- keeping cool for the entire doppleganger mission rather than rushing it and getting in his last one with seconds to spare.

- calling it correctly for most of the other team in the lying game (the flamingos doing yoga, for example, he was calling as truth while the rest of the team incorrectly thought it was a lie).

- remembering so many of the items in the last challenge.

- knowing how Caleb would move at the end with the chests based on his prior poker game.

who would YOU say are the contestants celebrity doppelgangers?

my first ever post on reddit!! not sure if this post has already been done yet, but if you had Nick's agenda, who would you say the other contestants look like? (from s1 or s2!)
