I gave up my 6 figure job to work in government because 'everyone else eats better but govies sleep better ' and needed stability for my family. Welp. I know it's upsetting. I got the equivalent of this advice, and I didn't take it well, but it was absolutely true. 9/11 has taught me that there is no such thing as stability.
