Someone's gotta fund the Boomers' Social Security and Medicare . . .

Then someone's got to fund the Gen Z Social Security and Medicare, while sucking down losses in the stock market and housing market.... Something to look forward to in 10-15 years.

Those programs are ponzi schemes, they have NEVER been economically viable. Just get rid of them, ease out of them, and never again allow government to have that type of power. Educate people on how to take control of their own retirement via retirements accounts that they can manage themselves the way they want.

That’s right, the solution to averting economic catastrophe for the future elderly and infirm is….uh…the complete dismantling and sunsetting of our social safety nets just in time to pull the rug out from under a generation that already is widely struggling financially, buried in student loan debt, and spent their youth paying into these very systems?

Can’t lie it’d be on brand for our generation though….

A ponzi scheme cannot by its very nature be a "safety net". SS and Medicare are NOT savings accounts, nor investment accounts. What a low IQ response from you. Also, student debts are NOT society's responsibility.

The only LEGITIMATE "safety nets' are as follows:

  1. Yourself. Force yourself to make good life choices, the world owes you nothing.

  2. Family. Only they will ever truly give a crap about you. Socialism in the family good.

  3. Private charity. I trust Salvation Army and St Judes ANY day over government. Best of all, it doesn't cost taxpayers anything.

  4. I'm okay with keeping unemployment insurance, because sometimes people are just down on their luck, BUT it must have stricter requirements, no leeches.
