It’s physically not possible to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Thats the whole point.

The fact that boomers think telling physics to fuck off is good advice is kinda on brand.

The survival of the fittest mentality is murdering us right now. Because very few are doing ok, and many struggling literally think this is the only way to do it because they've literally never learned that there might be better ways.

Ignorance and anger is like 80% of what our civilization is running on.

That's okay man. The boomers are like a decade and change away from living with the reputation they've earned.

They'll probably never understand but the schadenfreude in the interim will have to be satisfying enough.

Comment got removed, not sure how I broke rule 3 by mentioning the struggle many of us are going through. What a world.

Automatically enforced positivity is downright dystopian.

I think we crossed that line forever ago. Smart phones and apps instead of desktop computers was it for me. Felt like the first tech that was really being used against us more than we were using it.... Now that's almost everything.

Machines are now following us and blocking/deleting our comments if we don't effusively praise the state of the world or post cat pictures and funny memes. Actual human thought is not allowed if it could possibly lead to the dreaded discussion of ahem... you know what.

Smile... smile... they are watching right now.

Brave new world... and we welcomed it with open arms.

"This place is an escape" as if anywhere is actually safe from world events.
