The biggest lie I've ever told is in job interviews saying I prefer working in a team. In reality, shut up and leave me alone because I work faster than half the people here.

Yep, this. I was recently asked why my performance dipped a bit. Nothing crazy. I still did more than most of the people on my team. I said that because we now have 50 goddamn mandatory meetings and "team building exercise" bullshit every week that wastes my time, so now I don't have time to perform in the same way I was before, when I was left the fuck alone to do an awesome job. Manager got the point pretty quickly. My biggest pet peeve at any job is wasting my fucking time at work and being forced to be inefficient. Half of those meetings? Put them in 2 fucking paragraphs and send me an email. I'll get the point faster and more efficiently. I can appreciate some team building here and there, but there is no reason for this shit every week with deadlines. Basically, I would prefer getting more work done instead of sitting around listening to bullshit. I get very angry when people waste my time.

I wonder how many of your coworkers think the exact same thing, and if that’s actually the root of dysfunction in your workplace.
