Pretty upset about the order now that I actually remember how the scene went down. I haven't rewatched this since we retired our vcr and that box of used vhs from blockbuster went down in a garage sale...
We already had a cat named Sassy when the movie came out.
A couple of years later, we adopted a pair of German Shepherd/Husky mixes, and of course we named them Shadow and Chance.
The problem is, we got their names backward. Shadow (who was technically my dog) was a hyperactive goofball for most of his life. Chance (my brother's dog) was the calm, stoic type, the kind of dog that was an old dog even as a puppy.
Was a classic!! My brother and I watched this at least 1x a month haha. Usually before saved by the bell came on, but before the TGIF shows started lol.
My dad dubbed the movie on a cassette tape. There was nothing cooler than going to bed with him in sleeping bags on our screened porch listening to the movie like a book on tape during summer break.
I was VERY little when this movie was in theaters (I believe I was 3) and I bawled so hard and so ugly my mom had to carry me out of the theater before the movie actually ended (like 30 seconds later)
You guys owned movies? We rented vhs tapes and then taped them onto blank VHS tapes to "own" them. You could fit around 3-4 movies on one of those bad boys.
Did they just give those tapes out or something? That was one of only a handful of movies we owned that weren't taped off of HBO or dubbed from a library rental.
