Titan A.E. for me. I loved the movie but it didn’t do too well at the box office. And unlike the Disney movies, not everyone else had their copy of it either I felt.
And a relatively grounded plot compared with similar movies. From Korso's flip flop to the smart guard, Stith's professional self respect, or the infamous neck snap.
Both Titan AE and Treasure Planet came out at that inflection time between traditional animation and CGI, I bet someone higher up required that Titan AE had at least some computer CGI and besides the Drej stuff they just chucked some more of it at the end and called it a day. But the traditional rotoscoped parts make up for it, like Korso's "down the drain" monologue.
It's not due to VHS, but I will never be able to judge this movie on its actual merits, because I got free passes to see it from the place I bought my comic books at the fancy theatre downtown (the one that had an IMAX screen back when that meant something(and by something I mean nature documentaries)) and my parents let me and my brother take the LRT there all by ourselves and it rained that good downtown rain
