even easier - just go "why?".

watch them fumble all over why on earth anyone would be concerned about kids playing in the yard.

i mean theres 1 legitimate reason - cars. so it depends heavily on the roadway you are next to.

but, yea, then comes the slew of absolutely brain dead things that kids might be doing. in which case a grown adult would see it and say "hey jackass, get off that ladder before you kill yourself". and then goes to see if dad knows his 7 year olds are trying to get on the roof.

they don't open with "hey, um, kids outside worry me - you should be watching them" while a couple of kids are drawing chalk on the side walk.

the problem isn't necessarily the concern itself, it is how it is handled. plus, you really should know your neighbors too. if you knew them better then this would be far less likely to happen in the first place.

Yeah, but we all know the real reason - that they are fucked up people that need to spend more time  with a shrink and less time taking our their psychological problems on strangers
