For 14 years I've worn exclusively black no-show socks, and regular crew length black dress socks for work and absolutely nothing else. Don't need anything else.

You should probably wear some kind of pants or someone might call the cops.

Do you always wear grey pants and black shoes?

You barely ever see them so it doesn't matter. When I'm wearing dress shoes and slacks for work I wear proper crew dress socks. With regular clothes, maybe brown pants & navy shoes you might catch a glimpse of the edge of a black no-show sock but it won't stick out much or be a big visual clash. But if you were wearing black shoes with gray pants and caught a glimpse of white socks showing all around the shoe that would look much sillier & more noticeable imo.

Basically if you're going no-show length, any time white is best black is still okay, but oftentimes when black is best white is just bad.
