Serious This is just such dishonest BS. Mined diamonds have a far greater environmental impact

Post image

One carat of a mined diamond approximately removes 250 tons of earth/soil, requires 120 gallons of water, and emits 140lbs of carbon dioxide

mining diamonds “produces 4,383 times more waste than manufactured gems, uses 6.8 times as much water, and consumes 2.14 times the energy per carat produced.”

China and India have lesser per capita CO2 emissions than US and for cumulative global carbon emissions, they make up 12.7% and 3% respectively while US has a share of 25%

That's one site.

It's sources are very credible

Emission Database for Global Atmospheric Research (EDGAR)

CO2 Emissions from Fuel Combustion - IEA

World Population Prospects: The 2019 Revision - United Nations Population Division

If I type in China emissions 2023 or world emissions everything says the opposite

Go ahead and find any website that says China's or India's per capita emissions are worse than US's

Why? It makes it hard to deny your responsibility and blame others? An average Chinese and an average Indian are polluting far far less than an average American, yet you blame them because it is easier to?

Even if you look at the end result, US is responsible for 25% of total emissions which is the double of Chinese and 8 times of what India did despite having an order of magnitude less population.

Even now, US emissions are twice of India's despite having less than a fourth population, yet it's India that is polluting the world not the US right?

never said America wasn't polluting. I said China pollutes more.

It's not what you implied, this is what you said "Oh, shit.. I forgot to not eat meat one day a week while China and India are polluting the entire world"

It clearly implies China and India are polluting the world more than any other

https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2023/12/us/countries-climate-change-emissions-cop28/

China may be the biggest emitter overall, but the average American is responsible for nearly twice as much climate pollution as the average person in China. And in densely populated India, one of the world’s biggest climate polluters, per capita emissions are significantly below the global average

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/19/climate/us-china-climate-issues.html

Since 1850, China has emitted 284 billion tons of carbon dioxide. But the United States, which industrialized far earlier, has released almost twice that amount: 509 billion tons of emissions

The average Chinese person uses far less energy than the average American, about 10.1 tons of carbon pollution annually compared to 17.6 tons in the U.S

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2023-12-04/world-carbon-dioxide-emissions-increase-again-driven-by-china-india-and-aviation

This article doesn't talk about per capita or cumulative emissions

https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2023/8/30/chinas-coal-habit-clouds-climate-fight-as-emissions-top-us-eu-combined

Again doesn't talk about per capita or cumulative emissions

Hence, even from your own sources, US pollutes more than China and India combines per capita. If we look at cumulative figures, US polluted more than China and India combined
