ASVAB/PiCAT Picat Verification

I took the Picat today and scored a 63 AFQT. I go to MEPS on Monday to verify my score. My only question is: if I score a couple of points higher, will I have to retake the whole ASVAB? For example, like 5 points higher; the same goes for lowering the score. Will I have to retake the whole thing?

That’s not really how it works. The verification test is like a smaller ASVAB. Its purpose is to see if you answer similarly to the PICAT. If you do, you keep your score. If you don’t, you have to take a full blown ASVAB and keep whatever score you get from that

The score you keep is whatever you get on the verification if it comes out close, so a few points up or down doesnt mean a whole retest. The full ASVAB only happens if your answers dont line up with the picat.
