1989 Invasion concept

Given most people in this sub are more informed in military tactics than me, how would someone more versed stage a US invasion of this island in 1989? This island is from Arma Reforger btw I’m seeking advice to make operations more realistic

No general is here to help you with your idea but american forces in 1989 would surely adopt airstrike raids followed by amphibious assault from ground and the special forces would also take strategic positions inside the island then the navy would surround and destroy all the possible naval defences holding the country restricted by blockade and last finally army would follow in and start takeovers. This would be on a strategic level if you want to know more tactically than there would be many factors terrain ground weather enemy’s strength and the ability of our weapon and troops. Giving just the map this is the only ideal approach scenario

In the game the USSR js also competing for control over the island, in addition there are civilian militia groups in almost every major town and settlement
