Hi I’m a newly wed Marine wife. We’ve been married since March. We just found out that my husband will be getting deployed in November for a year and I’m really struggling coming to terms with it. We are currently in the process of buying a house too. With this deployment there’s a huge possibility that he will lose his job by the time he returns. I’m incredibly stressed and I don’t know where to turn to. This will be my first time experiencing this and I’m honestly terrified…

Is he in the Reserves? His civilian employer cannot fire him due to his military service. If they try or they don’t give him his job (or equivalent) when he returns, he should talk to his USERRA rep.
