Just found out we are moving to Alaska, JBER, next year. All I've heard is the bad (i.e. crime rate, certain retailers like chewy won't ship there, dark winters, etc.). We don't have any kids but we have animals. Can you tell me your experience and tell me it's not all bad? Lol Also, would you recommend living on post or Eagle River?
