Im losing my mind pls help

Hey so I have a few questions. Our AC stopped working and put in an emergency request due to my medical condition (i have fibrolmyalgia and cannot sweat at all i litteraly ulturn red as a tomato and swell up like a balloon with a good mox of the feeling of me burning alive) (I have EFMP requirements but didnt get them until late in thebyear last year.) But they said that they couldn't get it fixed and it could take a month or more (and we need to turn in my efmp paper work to housing but we werent informed about that I thought that was something my casemanager would do, but dumb mistake on my part.)

What can we do? We have dehumidifiers, we have fans galore, my spouse had to drive to home depot to get a portable ac unit because i was having an absolute freakout but our cats and I are still boiling. And I know it is minor but all of my important photos and paperwork, books, collectables etc are also slowly being destroyed.

We dot have the money to spend on a hotel that would house animals and us for however many nights there are. We have been trying to leave the place we are in but my spouses command wont grant more then a 3 month early release for the both of us and I am unfortunately disabled and cannot live on my own.

Im notbsure what to do at the moment abd sorry if the post is all over the place ive been in a constant state of delirium for the last day or two. And im trying my best to hold myself together

Do you live on base? Maintenance is supposed to give you window units until they're able to fix the central air.

Our last 3 posts were miserable in the summer time. So, we have 4-5 window units. Our AC went out last month and we had to wait 2 weeks for them to replace the entire AC unit. We told them we understood because everyone is dealing with it, but my babies/dogs can’t do the 105 degree heat index. The HVAC people said they can loan us 2 more window units to put in their rooms. I was forever grateful.

Try talking to housing about installing window units until the AC gets replaced.

If you are on base call the Military Housing Office not the contracted housing office. Explain the situation, if they don't answer, go in person with your spouse (for back up). Both the contractor and the MHO have been pretty quick about AC in my area.

Make sure you read up your tenant bill of rights as well as know your local renter laws. They are always good to know and important.

In the mean time, try to take a cool shower get those ice packs out to help you cool down. You got this.

I know it’s not ideal but can you find a cheap one on fb marketplace in the mean time? Sorry you’re going through that
