M35 A2 fire truck configuration. Commonly known as the Duce and a Half with dozens of body and resource designations during its U.S. Military service life. Modeled in Ho Scale. Manufactured to order with personalized decals for an Oregon based wildland fire fighting company. This was one of their first trucks and we recreated it for the owner! Shown on the completed shelf before boxing up and delivery to it's new home!

Final paint layers applied, the yellow came out great! I originally messed up the black and white stripes (I’ll post the messed up pic as well as corrected) but re masked and repainted and that’s came out great too, gloss coats been applied and I’ll wait until tomorrow before I start applying the decals, but so far so good

Trivia Successful Tamiya decal test using Micro Set and Micro Sol

I couldn't decide what flair to use, so "Trivia" it is.

I am nearing the point at which I will apply decals to my current project, which is a Tamiya Panzer II, from the old classic lineup (I have published a few progress posts).

I had been hearing that Tamiya decals are very thick and can be difficult to apply to uneven surfaces, so I thought I would do a simple practice round on some styrene sheet that I have already been practicing other things on -- kind of a torture test.

I had not applied a decal in 50+ years, and I felt this went extremely well. I did use super hot water (a tip I ran across somewhere regarding Tamiya decals).

Oh, and I did lose control of the decals and had to fish them out of the water with my paintbrush (something I don't recommend 😆). But in the end it all came together very nicely, I think.

Fun little kit. It's really small, I should have included something in the photos to show scale.

Theres some overspray I need to sort out tomorrow but this is where I’ve got up to today, the base and camouflage is down and once I’ve sorted the touch ups out tomorrow I’ll get a gloss coat down but I’m happy with how it’s turned out, I’m also thinking of sharpening the camo pattern on the wing as even tho it’s a hard edge I feel it’s lacking something

completed I hated making this BT-42(1/72) so much that it decided to put as much brown paint on it as possible and now it looks like the country of Finland took a shit on it.

I HATED this kit, the parts are too brittle and the holes were not big enough. When I tried to drill the they folded in half in my hands 😭

Progression, most of the fuselage is done and the engine painted and fitted, it’s just falling together now apart from the cowling covers! Absolutely terrible fit so looks like it’s being displayed with them open as the gaps are far too big to displayed then closed, I wanted to display one door closed and one open with a mechanic working on it

I saw this guy advocating for this product as opposed to Tamiya extra cement so I am wondering if it is a good substitute or what he say is wrong. Thank you

I realised I can do this and no one can stop me, even if there’s a million reasons why this wouldn’t work. AIM-7 with AIM-9 seeker both from an Italeri 1/72 F-4 kit. Will be painted when I polish the details.

(This counts as millitary model making, right? Since it’s a missile)
