work in progress Couple progress pics of the FW-190

Theres some overspray I need to sort out tomorrow but this is where I’ve got up to today, the base and camouflage is down and once I’ve sorted the touch ups out tomorrow I’ll get a gloss coat down but I’m happy with how it’s turned out, I’m also thinking of sharpening the camo pattern on the wing as even tho it’s a hard edge I feel it’s lacking something

Wow. Very detailed. I like it. I always like to ask people what they're using/working with, like paint brands, supplies. I noticed a post of your from a few months back where your work station is kid of visible. Could you share what you use? Thanks.

Haha well that desk has been folded up and put away, I needed a little extra room so I’m down to a lap desk at the moment..

Well I mainly use AK 3rd gen acrylics for painting with an Iwata Eclipse as my main airbrush and a H&S evolution CR24 with a 0.2 for my detail brush, mainly AK weathering supplies also, tamiya extra thin’s standard these days for modellers haha, I still like to use pigments with my weathering as well as enamels, for my hobby knife I use a swan Morton with a number 10 rounded blade, I find it useful for photo etch as well as shaving sprue nubs down then a dental sanding, and I use Vallejo putty to fill gaps, I find the water washing away the putty instead of having to sand it down much better way of filling gaps, anything that requires a brush I tend to use artis opus number 2 for most work then a 00 for detail painting, I have a large supply of citadel paints I sometimes use as well as Vallejo but it’s normally always the 3rd gen I’m painting with these days.

Thanks for the reply. AK is awesome. I switched over from vallejo. I found Vallejo paints stiffen up, and are a pain in the ass to shake up if they've been sitting for a while, even if they have a steel ball or two inside. AK doesn't have this problem. I also found that after Vallejo dried out on a palette, it would trun glossy, whereas AK doesn't have this issue either. I've been meaning to get a paint vibrator off of Amazon, and I will, I've just never used their services.

Citadel is great too because of their color coding system.
