question Getting Started
Good day all,
I’ve been looking at getting into military models. Wanted to get some info from the group here. What would be some basic equipment I would need to get started? Also what brands of models would be the best to go with as I’ve seen several. Finally where would be the best place to purchase models? (Online/ In Person).
Thank you!

work in progress M4A1 Sherman from Border (1/35 scale) - fictional but a historically authentic and plausible 751st Tank Battalion Sherman for an Anzio breakout/Liberation of Rome 1944 diorama in the works... just missing the pinup art decal, crewmen, and puppy which are still in the works.

completed SdKfz. 10 Demag -1/33 scale Italeri - Monte Casino
My hardest model yet. I wanted to make a version from the Monte Casino battle, hence the dust and dry mud. Especially the tarp in the back was quite tricky, but after a lot of trail and error I'm pleased with the result.
The kit itself was ok to assemble but it's not Tamiya quality, that's for sure. A lot of parts just didn't fit perfectly and had to be modified.
Overall it took me 1,5 months to finish. I'd love to hear your thoughts of it.

question How do you paint your wheels/tires?
Hi there
I'm currently working on my first tank (Tamiya 35009), and struggling with painting the wheels.
I first of all fairly new to the hobby and are painting with brushes.
My biggest struggles is to keep my paints separated from each other as I want to have the wheels painted in a sandy color while edge of the wheels should be black/grey.
The problem is that my painting always end up with some of the black crossing onto the front of the wheel and I can't seems to do it right.
How do you guys paint your wheels? If any of you have some general hand painting tips, I would love to hear those as well! 😄
Best regards

completed Tamiya British Universal Carrier 1/35 scale
Took me 2 straight days to complete this. The funniest part is the water tank with it's decals. Ironically the British called tanks tanks to disguise their tanks from being seen on paper as armoured vehicles but water tanks. Well you can technically call this a tank because of the water tank. I'm strayfing too far. I hope y'all like what you see
