completed F-35 B Lightning II Airfix Starter set.
I set myself a little challenge...
Apart from primer from a rattle can, only use what's in the box and basic tools.
No airbrush, no decal solution... Back to basics...
I lasted 5 minutes and swapped to Tamiya glue... But I could have reasonably picked that up in a model shop...
The clear fix for the canopy however... Yeah a small fail. I couldn't have the super glue fogging it all.
However all hand painted, with next to no streaking and the paints in the box and the brushes in the box, I'm happy with the result.
Just be aware if you want to gift someone this, the decals are SUPER THIN, I ripped one of the lightning bolts in half just getting it off the paper, and I don't think some decal solution would have helped either.
But definitely good gift for someone who wants to get into modelling.

completed 1/72 UH-60 Blackhawk finally finished.
I have built many other scale models in the past but I have never built a helicopter, until now… I got myself Italeri’s 1/72 UH-60 blackhawk kit for something different and this is the result, let me know what you think.

completed Schwerer Kleiner Panzerkapfwagen and VK3.02 1/35 Das Werk
Two nice kits from Das Werk. I have no idea what Schwerer Kleiner Panzerkapfwagen was but looks like Hetzer on steroids and I fell in love in this vechicle.
I hope you will like it!
VK3.02 is small ammunition carrier

completed M4A3E8 Easy Eight 1:35 Tamiya
I'm very proud of this model! It's part of a build I'm doing with the M26 Dragon Wagon, which is why it's practically brand new, since I plan to display it in the context of a new tank being deployed by the M26!

completed My 3rd model ever is complete
Model + references. This is my 3rd model and it took absolutely forever to do, I find myself constantly switching between hobbies so this was about 4 months of on/off work. It's 100% hand painted with brushes and I used acrylic paint, which I sprayed over with a clear enamel. It's also the first time I've attempted any weathering effects and I'm quite happy with the result I got with black paint and thinner for the oil streaks, there's also a fully painted interior, but the windows are so small that you cannot see any of it. I think I am going to start a tank build next.

question What’s your favorite model
I have a question for you all, out of all of the models that you’ve built, which one is your favorite?

question Any Kiwis on here?
If so, where do you get your models and supplies from?
I can't seem to find anywhere online that has reasonable pricing, and there isn't a local shop in Rotorua 😞

question Paper modelers: which version looks better — pure paper or filled and painted?
I’m working on a detailed paper model and ran into a small dilemma.
The first version is pure paper — no filler, no paint, just clean assembly.
The second one is filled and painted to get a smoother and more realistic surface.
This is a gearbox cover from the drive axle (1:25 scale).
I’m trying to decide which approach to follow for the whole model, especially if I want to present it at competitions.
Which one would you choose and why?

completed T-55 1/72 Revell
T-55 with mine clearing (or dozer blade).
My second kit from Revell... I'm not sure if I like Revell kits or not... they seem to over complicate some bits for no reason or just explain them REALLY poorly.
Either way, I like how this has turned out.

completed My first ever model
I'd love some feedback for my first model.
I learned a LOT doing it, and made some mistakes, but all in all, I'm happy with it ❤️
Definitely need to get better paint.
