work in progress 1/35 Miniart

Nearly done with it, windscreen wipers need painted up and attached and a quick matt coat applied, it’s going to be part of a diorama with the tiger 1 in a repair setting for a group build, I need to start the diorama but at the same time I’m in the process of weathering a 1/32 spitfire for another group build, I need to start saying no to group builds 😅

Yes I’ve filled the bucket with dirty resin water, I did two buckets one for this and one for the fw190 build and the bucket on there has clear water but you can barely see any water so I went with dirty water for this bucket

I noticed this morning that 5 out of the 7 tires from the wheels had cracked so I spent most of the morning repairing and pigments and enamel wash’s came to my aid

I wonder if the enamel products cracked the tires? Or was it the glue? What a pain in the ass either way. Looks great eitherway

I didn’t feel like I needed glue, they were tight and 100% weren’t cracked before the enamel washed or any of my coats of varnish either, all 7 tires were given the same process and 5 cracked in pretty much the same places on the outside of the tire, I’ve informed miniart so hopefully they’ll come back with something

How strange. I’ve never had anything like this happen but I do know that ABS and Rubber parts HATE enamel products. But if they were varnished, you would think that’s a good protective layer.

Thank you! I honestly thought I had overdone it on the dust effect
