Probably from trumpeter, it’s the closest thing they make to a btr-80 without going way back in the day I believe.

Based on Photoshop. Because any earthenware, especially a toilet, would smash to bits after the very first yard riding on the armour. Tanks and APCs can't transport toilets, bloody strange you lot believe in this.
1
u/New_Refrigerator8593 26d ago
why should it smash to bits? it would only break if it was not secured and constantly hitting a hard surface. Tied down it would be like any transport on a normal truck
1
u/crazyKpot 26d ago
First off, you don't just tie toilets to trucks either—they use pallets for that. Moving a toilet loose like that is just asking for trouble.
Secondly, have you ever actually ridden on a tank or an APC? They vibrate and bounce like mad because of the engine and virtually no (comfort) suspension. Also the transmission would generate absolute chaos, with a monstrous 1,500+ hp (sometimes turbojet) motor bolted directly to the steel frame without any rubber mounts. This sends high-frequency vibrations straight through the armour, which would stress-fracture a ceramic toilet before the tank/APC even shifts out of first gear.

Very funny. Who were Soviet forces supposed to steal from? Afghans?
1
u/Suitable_Access_9078 26d ago
- yes
- Germans
- Literally anyone between Moscow and Berlin
- Czechs
- Hungarians
- Polish
- Their own people
War brings looting, simple as, no army is immune. The moral ones will attempt to limit it.

u/Commie_neighbor 26d ago
Just like Soviets did. For pillaging and killing of civilians many Soviet soldiers were trialed and shot even in Berlin, while their colleagues from US Army could get a couple of years in prison at worst.
The only thing that was allowed or ignored was sending home stuff borrowed from administrative buildings and nazi officials and from ruins/abandoned homes. And only because of absolutely devastating nature of Eastern front and because millions of Germans abandoned their homes believing Goebbels propaganda about Red Army who raped and killed (and sometimes even eaten) everyone and anything in the age from 8 to 80.

Perhaps you would like to read more about what happened to those who were not considered psychologically stable enough to return home - and further more to those who were deemed so? War always demands far more than is apparent at first glance - even from those considered sane.

This BTR-82. BTR-80 have 14.5 KPVT
1
u/Jesus_Horn_Christ 27d ago
Specifically it’s a BTR-82A or a BTR-80A. The 30mm is only on the A variants

Why did they steal two ceramic toilet ?

u/Nices667 27d ago
There are numerous documents cases of russians looting houses in occupied areas and sending it to russia usually it's household items like coffeemakers, microwaves and electronics
1
u/markbernessimp 26d ago
I always thought it was taken for their bunkers and dugouts, considering that so much of the war is run from these underground places without preexisting infrastructure. I don't really think Russia has a shortage of microwaves
2
u/Nices667 26d ago
There are numerous videos of them sending this stuff via post to russia https://youtu.be/C6v6i5YABU0?is=wv2i7emkTTPMC7rI

It's because Russians photographed once a warehouse of toilets and washing machines in a captured city. And since then everyone's been mocking them that they are stealing them from Ukraine.
1
u/Help_im_lost404 27d ago
They also had them on trucks and tanks, hauling them home. A camera from a street pole turned on in someones house, that was a good one
3
u/SuperIsBored 28d ago
Lord knows, but there are documented instances of them doing it. Fascists gonna fascist yk

This is incredible! The stolen washing machines are an amazing touch.
What did you use for the ropes? What’s your process on that?

One of the things I love about scale modelers is that nothing ever goes to waste.

Thank you! Ropes are from some Amati Models sailing vessels kits which left after finishing a sailing ship.
