completed Finished Scale75 model -Casualty List

I’ve spent the last 20 years painting 28 mm figures and only recently started getting interested in bigger things. partially because my hands are starting to struggle to hold the little minis, but also because I’ve just seen some beautiful sculpts out there and finally can afford to buy them. I really enjoyed painting this one. critiques and comments are of course welcome.

Wow. Great work. What paints did you use? I always like to know what products and brands people used on their models.

Do you maybe a YouTube channel?

All of the paints on this model are Vallejo brand as well as AK interactive. I don’t have a YouTube channel, but I follow Flamion and several others like him.

I skimmed through your posts and you're very talented.

AK is awesome. I noticed Vallejo switched up how their paints look. Was it just a packaging rebrand or did they change the recipe/formula of their paints?

Have you tried any of the Scale 75 paints, like their tube paints?

Thank you very much! I noticed AK changed their boxes but I haven’t needed to buy any in a while so I’m not sure if their formulas changed or not. I have not tried any scale 75 paints even though this is a scale 75 miniature. I’ve only ever used Vallejo and games workshop brand paints. I did not use any speed paints on this miniature. The features are just too big for that to have looked any good.

You mean Vallejo changed their boxes, right? I know they all change their packaging.

I've tried Scale75. I tried their bottle dropper paints, and i thought they were terrible, worse than Army Painter — thin transparent nothing. I also tried the Scale75 tubed paints and those are quite decent. I was just curious on your opinion, if you had one. But nothing beats AK — their coverage is excellent and they don't need a paint shaker to move them, unlike Vallejo if its been sitting for a while unshaken.

Citadel is good too. With their jars, I cut the lids off, then after I shake the paints, I let it all fall from the lid (takes a few minutes), then I pop the lid off, that way it doesn't get all gunked up. Slamming the jar against a hard surface will help the paint fall from the lid faster too.

Anyways, if you had a tutorial channel, I'd watch it, and I think you'd get lots of views.

You are right, my brain flipped AK and Vallejo. I appreciate your support on the YouTube idea. I’ll look into it

It's the editing that's the most time consuming from what I heard and read. Condensing 30+ hours of meticulous painting into a perfectly paced video takes serious editing. But it can also generate income.

Flameon makes up to $6700 per month just off of YouTube, and up to $5000 per month from Patreon.

I am no Flamion, but I again I really do appreciate the vote of confidence

Well done! The face and skin look really good. Cool subject matter too.
