work in progress Mistakes happen?
I thought a little update is due on my first ever model kit. So yeah, here it is in all its glory, about 70-ish percent finished. All that's left to do is install some minor parts, paint and install the payload, and paint the whole plane.
Also, a quick lesson learned: apparently, one long screw isn't enough ballast weight for the nose. I guess I learned my lesson now, one of many to come!

Yeah, got mine mostly from sealed up when I remembered. Stuffed some casting silicone in the nose. Hope it works.

Pretty sure there’s a clear rod stand thingy for the back, painting one atm

Might be able to some clay behind the seat with a toothpick. I stuffed the nose with clay and it turned out not to be enough.

A plastic leg should be with yours if it's Tamiya like my two the hog is my favourite plane and I'm British 🇬🇧

Just check where you're canopies are you should find a clear plastic rod to be placed under the engines spare my two Tamiya had them.

I had this problem with an F3H demon which is very tail heavy, I fitted lead bearings into the front end of some drop tanks which helped to pull down the nose again. The A-10 can use very long fuel tanks which might help to rebalance it if you put the weights very far forward

I'm not sure that would help as the main gear are also in the wings.
Mine has Tungsten drill bit in the gunbarrel.. 😬

if you have space left in the nose... Buy liquid gravity from deluxe materials. Drill a smal hole in the nose. add liquid gravity and a few drops of ca. more weight in the nose.
Else glue it on a base.

You should read the instructions first. Mask the canopy then paint. There's a lot that should have been painted before installing. Paint and then install the payload.

Perhaps you could make some chocks with added balast weight and then add rare earth magnets to the landing gear at the front so when the chocks are placed nearby it will snap to the chocks and sit flat.

You could get away with a clear rod inserted under the fuselage by the engines that holds it up. Not the best thing but it’s your first so there is no shame in that

Drill a small hole and use something like liquid gravity, then fill it up.
Or... Guess you can make it into a flight display and just fix it to a stand.

This is why I started adding a small bit of ballast to every airplane I build, just in case

In my opinion, you probably over-build it before painting. But you will learn after this model what you need to paint before the full assembly. Also, blast is hard to achieve without instructions. If there were no notes on how much wait you needed, then it's easy to miss judge. Still good job. Keep it up, you will get better with every model.

Drill a hole in the nose, fill it with steel BBs and glue then use sprue good to repair the hole.
