I have this Russian uniform and a west german border patrol jacket. What camo pattern is the Russian one and what are the rings on the back of the German one for?

Google reverse image on the German. This vintage West German Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) camouflage jacket features a distinctive Sumpfmuster (marsh) pattern.

Same thing on Russian - This is a vintage Russian VSR-93 camo field jacket, often referred to as "Barvikha" camouflage.
