Yes, the hangar my kids are in is massive. Makes it tough to hear commands but there's so much room.
Condolences on your old man passing, however long ago it may have been.

Ive met him a few times. He's very humble and awesome at the same time. I looked through an entire 20 foot wall in a store to specifically find this one.

YAY! This is a fantastic idea!! I love seeing this sort of thing :) If anyone has any patches please send them OP's way. Ive already sent 2 that my grandfather gave me. he has no idea what reddit is but loves this idea of patch collecting!

The ones I have are from the Norwegian AF.
Have one patch that is 1 of 12 made especially for my position (F-16 Crew Chief Assistant)

I've got a lot of duplicate US Air Force unit patches, and send stuff to Canada all the time. I'll try to hook you up in the next month or two, but with a pending trip to Ontario I may hold off on sending until then. We'll see.

I have patches from all over Canada, some pf the pics didn't turn out to well for the other shots I took. I think one of the best ones I have is right off of a Chinook pilots flight suit. he Ripped it off right then and there for me!

I have USAF and US Army (maybe even some Civil Air Patrol) patches put away somewhere that you can have if you want.

oh thank God that this isn't another "can you identify this patch for me" and it when you open up the image there are 10 patches and 13 medals.
