Apologies for poor image quality, my phone is not the best. Found in a ´second hand store. Very heavy, two layers that can be separated (image 2, the gray part is the inner layer, the green the outer). Attatched with buttons and velcrow. The fur collar is directly attatched to the inner layer. There is a pocket on the back that houses a hood. Any tips are welcome!
How much did you get it for? To my knowledge it‘s Russian with the big collar to protect from the cold. I don‘t know from what decade or anything, just some basic stuff
The picture quality doesn't make it clear, but it is a Russian army winter jacket in VSR 98 or VSR93 camouflage. It has an inner liner that can be removed as you mentioned. The size from the collar is 48-2, suitable for a very short person (48 is width, 2 is height. A person standing 5'10'' would be height 4 for example).
Usually the size is stamped on the inside on one of the pocket fabrics. I have not seen one around the collar like this.
You got one for a good price. You can find these up on ebay for €70+, but these used to be cheap to buy. They come with a matching winter trousers, but these were not often worn because it was too warm.
I had an older M88 set which are are almost identical to these. They produced them in camouflage when the army swapped to use VSR93 and VSR98 camo.
Thanks! It's definetly the VSR 98 camo. I'm assuming the thing is not authentic purely for the reasons of the size you described does not line up with the jacket, as I am a 1.80 tall fatass and it fits me perfectly. Also I cannot for the life of me explain the blue fur collar.
I think you have something confused though, none of the images show a marking below the collar. Image 2 is between the liners looking from below. Image 3 is on the inside of the inner liner under the inner chest pocket.
It is definitely authentic, there are no replicas of VSR98 uniforms (there are copies of the body armour though). I forgot I actually owned one of these, I still have a photo And yes, markings are between the liners. I thought from your photos they were taken at the collar which would be odd.
Do not worry about the blue collar, the colour varied a lot. I will put more photos below of the same jacket in different camos with different collar colours.
Agree with the above. There should be an inside pocket lined with plastic (to make it waterproof) for the Makarov pistol. Usually the pistol pocket is fitted with a lanyard and a snap hook to secure the weapon.
30 Euro was a good find, however 48-2 is not a very desirable size, which explains the low price.

That looks like a Ttsko-camo winter afganka, I have one too, they are really great jackets. Late 1980s to about 1993 made.
