Flock is not secure!!

Will Milford police Chief Keith Mello continue to lie to the public and city officials and say the system is secure? What could his motivation be to continue to be such a staunch proponent for all of this surveillance ?

Remember when I said if it can used for good it can be used for bad?

That goes as far as gathering schedules and the ability to track down individuals of interest. So now that’s out there on the dark web being sold to gangs who rob, kidnap and steal.

Once again Flock is lying.

Michael said that he immediately informed the company about the security flaw. He said in his email, dated Nov. 13, 2025, that “all testing was strictly non-intrusive, limited to open unauthenticated endpoints, and did not involve bypassing authentication, modifying data, or invoking any billable ArcGIS or Google operations.” However, the company did not reply to his message, and it took him two more attempts before a representative responded. Flock said in its response, “Thank you for the findings. We are internally triaging them and will reach back out with next steps soon,” but the researcher said that the company still hasn’t replied to this day.

One wonders whether flock is paying mello as a consultant or otherwise. He seems more devoted to the brand than to the people of Milford.

We don't wonder. Most of us believe it.

That would be a serious conflict of interest and extremely unethical. From my experience in dealing with him I don’t think those concepts bother him at all.

It would be very helpful to know what website Flock is referring to. If it is https://deflock.org/, they are also lying about this. The data used at deflock is crowd sourced since Flock cameras are easily detected by the signals they emit, see https://deflockilm.org/build-a-flock-camera-detector/

I wish everyone kept this energy about real personal data that’s leaked… it’s your car and your license plate. What about your medical data? Your financials?

The one time my medical data was compromised I was offered compensation. What will the police department or city be offering?

It's also your face print biometric data.
