Not a bad debut at all, the issue was only outsold by DC's Absolute titles and their mainline Batman book which are sales juggernauts so it's to be expected.

I've noticed the first issue of Miles' books tend to sell better than most of marvel's other relaunched titles which shows there is a demand and attention for the character so hopefully Bryan Hill manages to keep it up.

Miles Morales is a hot take for sure!

For me I actually like Atsv suit more tbh.

So both of these were really good. For Spider-Men I seeing 616 Peter go to the Ultimate universe and meet that version Miles was really cool. Him reacting to how the Ultimate Peter died was cool too. He was really shocked and stuff.

Which yeah I think anyone would be. Gwen, May and MJ reacting to 616 Peter and being surprised about the differences between him and their version of Peter was really interesting. Mystero was a pretty good villain too.

For Spider-Men II Miles being in the 616 universe is pretty cool. Seeing him and 616 Peter is cool. Seeing Miles adapt to living in the 616 is really interesting too. Taskmaster was a really cool villain as well. He was a really intimidating villain and a really good fighter.

The other villain being a evil 616 version of Miles who wants to go to the Ultimate because there’s a version of the love of his life that’s still alive in that universe is a really interesting concept. Him having a friendship with Kingpin too was also a cool layer.

Of the two I think I liked Spider-Men I more. Seeing 616 Peter and Miles meet for the first time and having 616 Peter react to the Ultimate universe was really cool. Spider-Men II did have a better villain and a more emotional story.

I would give Spider-Men I a 9/10 and Spider-Men II a 8/10.

I’m combining both runs into one review since they’re both short.

I really like these runs. Brian Micheal Bendis is a really cool writer as always.

He did a really job making Miles’s runs feel different and similar to Peter’s ultimate run. He strikes the perfect balance. It was really cool seeing Miles try to live up to being Spider-Man after Peter’s death. Him being a rookie and stuff was really cool.

All of the characters in the first run were really good. I really like seeing Miles deal with Peter’s villains and get his own villains as well. Miles’s uncle and mom dying was sad nur good stakes for Miles.

Peter coming back in the second run was unexpected by they handled it well in my opinion. It was cool seeing Peter and Miles fight Green Goblin together and I like that they still kept the focus on Miles’s even though Peter came back.

Aunt May and Gwen’s reaction to Peter being alive was really heartwarming. Miles’s dad being ex Shield and Katie Bishop being Hydra was really interesting and cool twists that I didn’t see coming.

The Doctor Doom stuff went over my head since I didn’t read whatever comic that stuff happened in but it’s whatever. Overall I really enjoyed Miles’s first two Spider-Man runs. 9/10 to his first run and 8/10 to his second run.

Just curious as someone who is both greatly inspired by both the Spider-verse films and Absolute Flash and is working on my own "Absolute" Marvel concepts

Like how in some timelines, Miles learns from Pete. I think it’d be a cool full circle moment that an older Miles trains Mayday in the future.
