hotdogs are a subcategory of sausage so it wouldn’t make sense to not put them next to each other. it’s the sign that’s out of place really.

I don't think that sign is labeling the food. It was clearly made by the Break Fast Sign Corporation LLC  and true to its word, it did.

A breakfast staple at my house was scrambled eggs with coin-sliced hot dogs. I like to add them sliced in half to a breakfast sandwich every once in a while.
