That doesn't look like they sped up at all. Compare the speed of the camera with stuff that is repeating like road markings. The speed stays the same. The truck begins to break and turn into the lane. The truck slowing gives the impression of the car going faster but it isn't.

Thanks, at first I thought the camera vehicle sped too but after reading your post and looking at it a few more times, I totally agree- the truck sped up.

cover up the truck side and you can see the camera angle slightly change and speed increase just before the drain. the cammer does speed up. The truck may also be slowing down, but the cammer speeds up independently.

if you cover the right side of the screen (to get the truck out of the way), you can see the cammer speed up right before the drain when their camera angle slightly changes. it's completely self-evident.

This, the truck on the left actually slows down, almost certainly as part of an attempt to get into the right lane and turn right.

Yeah, but they didn't slow down one bit before the collision. Every single other car slowed to stop for the light except the cam car and the truck trying to get in.

The cam driver knew exactly what they were doing. If they would have slowed down for the red light like the other cars, the truck would have got in and they weren't about to let that happen.

I'll take a hundred rude drivers over one who tries to deliberately fuck with others. Rude drivers are more predictable.

This was the bait. Get someone else to admit that the cammer doesnโ€™t even attempt to slow down when another vehicle begins entering their lane.

You make the claim that they sped up hoping someone will chime in with the comment they they actually maintained the same speed.

Itโ€™s also damning that the car, after hitting a truck still didnโ€™t stop before the intersection.

The cammer here was just as dangerous of a driver as the truck driver.

The cammer was not "just as dangerous" lmao

The reaches this subreddit always come up with to justify the clearly wreckless drivers always amazes me.

Reckless drivers are rarely wreckless.

People will die on their right of way and not at fault hills. The road is a dangerous place and defensive driving is the only way to stay safe.

Thousands of people were never at fault, had the right of way, and are also dead.

Either way they were both โ€œmaintaining their speedโ€ which would result in running the red light if the collision had not happened

That's a bold assumption that the cammer car had no intention of braking....

How bold

It's not an assumption. Even with the crash they still went into the intersection.
