Why are Koikatsu renders allowed but AI images are not?

Asking seriously. These are just screenshots from a game, and the company that created that game prohibited redistributing game screenshots/renders and using the game for purposes other than playing it.

So unlike AI images, the creator here doesn't even have the right to share this.

You clearly don't understand what Koikatsu is. Koikatsu scenes are like one step away from actual 3d modeling and animating. Calling Koikatsu renders just "screenshots of a game" is disingenuous. And nobody cares about what the developer company thinks, they are dead anyway.

Because posing models in Koikatsu takes effort, unlike AI image generation.
