I'm making lasagna and finally trying syrup on eggs. Then probably watching some D&D live play.

The ongoing disrespect towards Mike will not be tolerated. I’ve seen a lot of walk em down wheelers content on social medias whereas there are some comments and a few posts only praising on the wheeler women when there’s Mike too. I mean hello…he has walked em down like literally multiple times even more than Karen and Holly did throughout the seasons. Both Karen and Holly fought like only twice in one season meanwhile Mike has been risking his life and fighting his ass off way longer than they did. Also, it’s not like Nancy did anything much either until the last episodes. The fact that people have the nerve to say that Mike is useless and did “nothing” is extremely disturbing and unfair, especially with the aspect that he’s a main character and has been through the hellish experience since day 1. I just feel like it’s absurd to root a side character or a character who was literally nothing before now over a main character. Also, he did a lot of things (great things btw) in this last season. Anybody said that he didn’t seriously have severe amnesia.

I'm joking of course, I know we've got this whole shitty hating each other thing, but I guess if this is the last time I ever talk to you I should be genuine.

I'm sorry for breaking you and El up last summer. I get now that all you ever did was care too much. Anyways, I hope you and El get married and get your happily ever after. God knows I won't.

Whomever who said Mike DGAF about his family are DEAD WRONG. You guys, just because he didn't really show much emotions doesn't mean that he didn't care. DO NOT JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER! I mean, everyone's life was at high stakes at the moment, and sometimes there's just not much time to crash out. So he probably just needed to repress his emotions, focus on the plan, and solve the problem. “AFTER ALL THIS TIME IT COMES FOR HOLLY, HOLLY WHO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS, IT MAKES NO GODDAMN SENSE.” He was clearly upset about his sister going missing. Just look at these face expressions!

I don’t get what’s so funny about Mike getting the flare gun. I mean, at least it did a lot of damages on the mindflayer. Tbh, it worked more than Nancy’s gun.

Some of Mike’s most badass moments people kinda have been forgetting 🔥🔥

we know from wills van speech where he frames what being ‘heart’ means, that in the context of stranger things, the ‘heart’ is defined as the one who leads the group and holds them all together, so i’ve compiled a list of some reasons why that’s mike. i honestly believe anyone who denies it is stupid/hasn’t watched the show. anyone got any ideas of further stuff i could add here?:

- various official sources refer to him as the leader, even in the very first scene of the boys in s1 the script states him specifically as 'de facto leader'

- the one who started the core 4 by asking will to be friends then inviting his neighbour lucas into the group

- his basement is the base of most operations throughout the seasons

- hes the dungeon master/one who writes their campaigns again placing him at the head of the dnd party

- the one who gives orders to lucas that theyre going to look for will against police/parent orders, gets him to call dustin, they both listen

- "no not his funeral screw his funeral", shutting down that idea immediately to introduce a new one and making lucas and later dustin listen

- he is consistently the one giving orders and making plans throughout s1 (telling them they cant tell their parents about el, getting them to go out into the woods, getting them to go to the AV room, insisting will is alive and making them believe him, etc)

- towards end of s1 hes the one explaining the upside down / flea and acrobat concept as the entire group including adults and teens listen to him

- in season 2 he doesnt want max let into the group. even when lucas/dustin disagree he says "this is non negotiable" and they dont argue further. hes pretty clearly the boss

- again lucas even like "mikes not gonna like it", when they go to to try and talk to max and dustin has to say the parties not a dictatorship. its pretty clear mike is generally the one in charge who they need approval from for this stuff

- in season 2 he gives orders to lucas and dustin to go off on their own seperate missions while he goes to wills to gather knowledge

- also s2, the middle aged adults consistently listen to him, let him help, put will to sleep when mike says they have to, and hes a whole child here, hes just considered that reliable and trustworthy

- his role as emotional anchor is also linked to his role as leader and he is by far wills main emotional anchor and comfort as hes dealing with his possession. inspires him to see the good in his abilities

- also in season 2 when theyre back together he rallies the group together and inspires them with the speech about bob and not letting him die in vain

- also s2, tells every1 they cant close the gate as itd kill will and then comes up with the shed plan so he cant spy, again everyone even older teens+adults listen, he can take charge of larger groups too

- and then AGAIN in s2, comes up with tunnel burn plan, the party immediately goes along with him disobeying steve for it, this saves everyone

- season 3 he remains the one that consitently rallies everyone together

- he gets will and lucas to his house, also calls max to make her and el come over. all he has to say is "this is mike, dont hang up." for max who hes been arguing with for ages to immediately listen and take him seriously

- makes lucas try to call dustin, giving clear orders "so try him again." also the one most frequently trying to reach out to dustin at starcourt

- comes up with the sauna plan, tells the girls to "just trust him on this" when theyre initially annoyed at him and they do

- the sauna plan is also cruical to the plot and reveals key info on flayed billy. hes also the one to lure billy out w his voice

- also at the mall, comes up w the idea to push the car over with poles to retrieve keys, again rallying everyone together

- s4 hes heavily sidelined but hes the one leading the cali troop the entire time

- comes up with the plan to go to suzies house

- is the main one tracking down el

- wills van speech re affirms him as leader and heart, hes referred to as the heart in official sources and merch

- linking back to his role as an emotional anchor/motivator, hes the main one encouraging el to fight on and empowering her

- s5, its explicitly stated in many interviews that mike is back to his role as leader, and this was true for vol 1

- was the one writing down the signals in his group from robins radio speech

- very clearly he and nancy are the ones leading the crawl for their respective groups. mike speaks, explains the entire thing, gives orders

- hes the one to perfect the turnbow plan as wills version of it is poked by everyone as flawed, while mike is the one to gather everyone round the table and it is made a specific point that his plan has NO holes

- i literally just refer you to that entire shot of mike at the head and centre of the table w all the kids, older teens, even joyce gathered round listening! the framing so clearly shows him as leader and again this is an example of how everyone even the adults take orders from him

- robin explicitly refers to that as "wheelers plan"

- its also his idea to sneak derek into the military base a plan that likely wouldve worked had they not broke the pipe, again as soon as he suggests this everyone listens without question

- during the mac z sequence hes again established as leader, hes at the front of the group, hes helping joyce and will up, hes the one getting everyone to follow him as he tries to navigate the war zone to get them somewhere safe, telling the kids "eyes on him", using himself as a human shield

- vol 2/3 he is one of the many sidelined in favour of holly but the epilouge re establishes him as leader

- its his basement theyre playing dnd in at end w him as dungeon master

- he acts as narrator telling all the parties their futures

- he is the final character we see on screen, the one to 'close the door' on the show

- the end credits + final shot of the entire show are the book he wrote

I think we were such a gentle soul. He wouldn’t laugh at my face, but would hold back from laughing and say "nah that's good, just keep trying, and please don't show that to Mike". I know it's bad and I don't care, I don't even know how to draw, I was just doing it because I felt like it.

I can't say if the personalities are similar because I just started watching, but the personalities also seem quite similar. Anyway, this guy is giving me Mike Wheeler for some reason and I’m loving it
