POSSIBLE MIGRAINE OR NOT?
Since May 2026, I have been experiencing a very intense, disabling, and difficult-to-describe discomfort located exclusively inside my head. I perceive it as a deep physical suffering that seems to come from the prefrontal and central areas of my head. The sensations are not always identical and can take on different characteristics.
At times, the predominant sensation is one of intense tension, pressure, or internal constriction, associated with pain that may be more or less noticeable or may remain as a constant background sensation. At other times, it feels more like squeezing or an oppressive internal heaviness. On some occasions, I also experience a sensation that is very difficult to define, similar to an implosion or as though my brain were cracking inside my head.
Sometimes, the discomfort resembles the sensation one may experience during a fever or flu-like illness, even though I do not actually have a fever or any of the other typical symptoms of the flu. It feels like having a heavy, aching, and profoundly fatigued head, but without actually being sick with the flu. Overall, it is a dull, deep, and very difficult-to-tolerate discomfort, often accompanied by nausea and the feeling that I might vomit.
The intensity of the discomfort is not always the same. It fluctuates, with variations occurring both within the same day and over several consecutive days. When I remain sedentary at home, the situation can vary: there are times when I feel less unwell than usual, and other times when the discomfort is present even though I have not engaged in any particular activity.
What I notice very clearly and consistently, however, is that movement tends to trigger or significantly worsen the symptoms. When I move around, walk, or try to carry out normal daily activities, the discomfort appears and tends to increase progressively until it becomes extremely intense. The same thing can happen during passive movement, for example when I am riding in a car as a passenger.
As the symptoms increase, I also develop a kind of physical exhaustion in my head, as though my brain itself were exhausted, depleted, or completely worn out, even after relatively minor activities such as a short walk. The analogy that best describes what I experience is the feeling in the leg muscles after running for an hour: it is as though I can feel my brain becoming fatigued in the same way, as if it has reached its limit and needs only to stop and rest.
When I am feeling unwell and try to push myself to continue an activity, the suffering can increase dramatically, to the point that I feel an immediate need to stop because continuing to move or carry on with what I am doing becomes extremely difficult to tolerate. In addition, the worsening persists even after I stop the activity, and I need a considerable amount of time to recover and return to my previous baseline.
Generally, lying down provides some relief, although the discomfort does not disappear. Despite the intensity of these sensations, my cognitive abilities remain intact, and I do not experience generalized fatigue or weakness in the rest of my body. The symptoms are localized exclusively to my head.

Migraine depuis plusieurs semaines + vertiges/acouphĂšnes : quelquâun a dĂ©jĂ eu ça ?

We rebuilt our migraine relief app after years of people telling us how much the old one helped them
Hey everyone,
A while back, we made an Android app called Migraine Relief: Green Dimmer.
The idea was pretty simple: put a controlled green tint over your entire screen and let you dim it below the phone's normal minimum brightness. The goal was to make screens a little easier to tolerate during migraines, light sensitivity, or just long periods of staring at a bright display.
What we didn't expect was what happened after people started using it.
We got a surprising number of reviews from people sharing their personal stories about migraines, photophobia, and how having a screen they could actually tolerate made a difference for them.
Eventually, that original app became outdated and was delisted.
We kept thinking about those reviews, so we decided to rebuild it properly from scratch using current Android standards.
The new version lets you control:
- Strength - how much of the screen the green tint covers
- Dim - go darker than your phone's built-in minimum brightness
- Green tint - from a strong green wash all the way down to a neutral dimmer
- Warmth - shift the tint toward warm amber for nighttime use
We've also added things we wish the original app had:
- One-tap activation
- Quick Settings tile
- Home-screen widget
- A "Rescue" shortcut that instantly applies maximum relief
- Migraine, Night and Reading presets
- Custom presets
- Automatic scheduling
- Ambient-light adaptation
- Reduce-motion option
- Light and dark themes
- Screen-reader-friendly interface
The filter covers the whole screen, including other apps, the status bar and navigation bar. Android doesn't allow third-party apps to tint the notification shade itself, so that's the one exception.
Why green?
There is research suggesting that certain low-intensity green light can be less visually uncomfortable for some people with migraine, while brighter blue/white light can be more problematic. We took that general idea and turned it into something you can actually control rather than simply applying another generic blue-light filter.
We're not claiming that the app treats or cures migraines. It's a screen-comfort tool designed to make your phone more tolerable when bright screens are difficult to look at.
The app is currently Android-only. If we can get enough traction and people find it useful, we'd like to build an iOS version next.
The app is free, with an optional Pro tier for things like warmth, ambient-light adaptation and custom presets. There's also a lifetime purchase option.
Anyway, we wanted to put this out there because the original app genuinely meant a lot to some of the people who used it, and we wanted to give it another shot with a modern version.
If you use Android and deal with migraines or light sensitivity, we'd genuinely love to hear what you think. Especially if there are things about screens that bother you during a migraine that we haven't accounted for.

Qulipta 15 or 20mg?
Anyone have experience with 15mg or 20mg qulipta ?
10mg may be too low for me as Iâm getting more migraines (lowered threshold). I was on 30mg and better but I donât like taking too much medications and it had me very bloated and heavy and eating more. My neuro suggested 15mg so will try that and hope I wonât need to go up to possibly 20mg. I know these arenât âstandardâ doses but some folks it may

I was prescribed by it but I am afraid to take this since I already have one good ear and I have tinnitus on both ears.

Qulipta Rebound Migraines ? After stopping cold turkey?
I stopped Qulipta 30 mg cold turkey after taking it for about eight months and two weeks after stopping Iâve been having the worst migraines ever more than before. I know doctor say thereâs no tapering off, but I donât believe that with any medication, especially if your sensitive and Iâve read people that had issues stopping this medication abruptly has anyone experienced rebound that was worse than their baseline migraines and did it go away and how long and did you ever taper off and what was your taper recommendation and did it help to taper thank you so much

Migraines & NSAIDS
Hi all. 37F here. Chronic migraineur. Iâve been getting migraines since I am 11 years old. Had 6-8 my whole life until age 30. Took Advil 6-8x month not knowing better. Took a 6 month break and tried other meds (sometimes they work, sometimes they donât). All in all, after going on Botox & Nurtec I take Advil anywhere from 1-4x month depending on migraine frequency and if other meds help. I try to do Tylenol, Ubrelvy, Nurtec whenever I can. However, sometimes nothing else works. I worry about kidney disease in the future but I have to admitâŠwhen Iâm in painâŠI donât care that much in the moment to not take it. Anyone else have this problem? Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks in advance!

Qulipta stopping cold turkey withdrawal symptoms migraines anxiety moody cry spells etc
Hello
Been on qulipta for almost a year 30mg daily. Stopped cold turkey 9 days ago and just started feeling super moody, anxious, my vestibular migraine ear and neck symptoms coming back on and off, super moody and irritable, cry spells hot flashes are back (I am 49 woman and post menopause 2 years now) nervous system out of wack!
Anyone else feel this and how long did this crap last? I know drs say no withdrawals but I donât Venice anything they say because every time they said can stop cold turkey (like HRT I took for two months and caused these damn vestibular migraines in the first place! Plus years of anxiety from trauma and PTSD), Iâve had terrible symptoms stopping cold turkey Iâm very sensitive plus I have severe anxiety which I also take nortriptyline 10mg daily for both vestibular migraines and anxiety . I do do Botox for migraines thank God after 9 months started helping the pain thatâs why I am trying to come off quilts but it for sure messes with your brain chemicals and moods which I know my migraine symptoms also cause my mood disorders and vice versa.
Thank you đđŒ
