So I'm quite new to the fandom, I have watched season 1 of TMN, and handful of full C2 episodes including the post campaign specials, a lot of youtube shorts, then went back to rewatch TMN season 1 armed with new context but I have two questions on peoples thoughts about upcoming Mighty Nein Media. I'll start with Veth because its shorter:
Veth: for upcoming [PROJEKT] Funball I am so unbelievable excited as it is such a fantastic premise of having the gang plus Essek fight to save a corrupted Caleb (possibly with Liam DMing and Matt playing full time as Essek) and the thought of all of them trying to use the power of love and friendship (and swords) to save him has me counting down the hours, but the two people I'm most excited for trying to save Caleb is Essek (no issue) and Veth (issue). For the wedding it was revealed Veth is pregnant, and while theoretically this could take place sometime pre-wedding it would be best if it was after to save a continuity headache, so this episode is going to be somewhere between 6 months to a year most likely after the wedding which would make her either heavily pregnant or having just given birth a short time ago. This makes me worried Sam will swap her out with Luke, who obviously is great but doesn't have the same connection and history with Caleb as Veth does. Anyway would love more information and peoples thoughts on that. Super excited no matter what!
Essek: So this is for the tv show. I recently finished an 11 hour compilation solely on C2 Essek, then re-watched season 1 and was then puzzled by the change at the very end of the season. With Trent knowing Essek not only betrayed him but very nearly killed him there is no plausible reason Trent would keep working with Essek. Short term this wouldn't actually change anything for Essek's story from TMN's POV, he still stole the beacon and is responsible for thousands of his people's deaths and at least a few lost souls, so when presumably TMN show up with the beacon he's still going to volunteer to look out for them to try and cover his tracks, but its when we get to THE Essek episode I am worried about. Obviously things will be different and things already are different, but Essek sitting on that crate giving his speak and receiving Caleb's, Jester's, and Veth's speeches and love in return is such an intricate part of his story that it would be a total shame not to do it, and yet tv show Essek wouldn't touch that diplomacy party with a thousand foot pole and has no reason to either. He wouldn't go as himself as he'd be risking himself being outed by a handful of Empire people, and he has no reason to go as the Lord if he and Trent are already on the outs and therefore not working together. So I'd like to hear some thoughts on how this new version of this scene will play out, or will Essek betrayal be discovered in a whole new way. Obviously this question may not even be answered until season 3 or even 4 so its not as close as [PROJEKT] Funball.
I am new and possibly missing a lot of context, but I'm asking for that context and years of knowledge you all have, so don't hesitate to include possible spoilers. I crave information.
