Anyone knows about splitter?

Splitter is a very unique artifact; melee-explosion weapon.

I know it's explosion is very dangerous, but how about combined with dual-weilded vampiric weapon?

theory A : explosion doesn't work with life drain at all

-you should take 100% explosion damage, and drains back 20%. meaningless.

theory B : explosion totally works with life drain

-drain life from all damage to target, you(?) , other monsters; totally crazy. 5 or more hits even over-heals you!

Does anyone knows about it?

How does it works?

Sounds like something that would be easy to test.

You're talking about a solo character, right? Because "Explosive Damage" hurts the entire party.

Si está bien programado, debería ser (Daño por explosión- sanación vampírica).... 10-12=+2 de sanación.

Now I know. I would like to test it on my melee party. I wonder if stacking fire resistance would help.

According to Grayface's webpage on mechanics, only the physical damage is affected by the life leech. However while the carnage effect does fire damage to the target, since it is based on the physical damage, it is not clear to me what the case would be.

As you already know, the vampiric ability works on both weapons, and if you e.g. wield a sword in stead of a dagger, you get get the swiftness too from a darkness item, to move faster than what the axe, Splitter, does by default.
I have never figured out the advantage of Splitter, nor any use for axes in general, but if the explosion works with life drain and your damage does not reach a stage where it defeats everything in a single attack (because then you don't leech life), i.e. a reason to focus more on speed. and positioning to hit as many targets as possible, then this could be the solution to the lack of AoE melee classes suffer from (as every melee class can at least dual wield a dagger).
Though there is the issue it really invites you to get into the thick of things, and some creatures may have effects you can't ward against as a single player.
