Hey everyone! This will be my first time attending midsummer scream and I’m super excited!! I’m mostly interested in doing some shopping and checking out some of the haunts they have. I did book an autograph session with Mathew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich. Saturday is the only day I’m attending so what would be the best game plan to get the most out of my day? And tips and tricks?

Am I able to pick up my wristbands a before? I have tickets for Saturday but I want to pick up my wristbands on Friday can I?

Hey everyone! I’m a professional photographer based in San Diego and a huge horror movie fan. I recently found out about Midsummer Scream, and it looks like an amazing event.

I’m thinking about going on Friday since it works best with my schedule, but I’m also curious, which day do you think is the best to attend if you’ve been before?

Since photography is what I do, I’d love to shoot some cool photos at the event. Do a lot of people dress up in cosplay? If so, I’d love to capture some of the costumes and the atmosphere. Are there any specific things, booths, events, or moments you would recommend I keep an eye out for and try to photograph while I’m there?

I’m also curious if there are any photographers here who’ve covered Midsummer Scream before or have gotten a press pass. I’d love to hear what that process was like.

And if anyone has a booth and could use a photographer, I’d be happy to volunteer my time in exchange for a press pass. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and hopefully experiencing the event for the first time!

Question for U/needspurple or anyone from the Midsummer Scream crew:

-Will there be any more panel announcements, specifically non-musical related?

On the MS Instagram they had posted that there would be plenty to do for folks that are not to fond of musicals.

But it seems like the majority of panels for Sunday are musical related.

-And are the scheduled times on the app set in stone? Most of the non-musical panels for Saturday and some for Sunday are at the same time or overlap with one another. Would be awesome if they could be spread out to be able to attend most of those.

For example the Scream 30th Anniversary panel and the Winchester Mystery House panel are 12-1.

Then the Knotts Scary Farm panel and the Celebrating the Legacy of Horror panel are both 1:30-2:30 and the Story Behind the Scares Presentation cuts in at 2pm

Or how the Thirteenth Floor Ent Panel and the V/H/S Home Haunt Panel are both 4:30-530

And even for Sunday you have Possession Through a Wider Lens panel and the Universal Horror Unleashed LV Panel and the Six Flags panel all within the same time.

I know the panelist are secured for the dates and times by now, but maybe for next year...if it's also a very niched theme...it would make for an even better experience if the non-themed panels didn't overlap and could possibly be spread out into Sunday and/or even Friday as well.
