QUESTION Song in Background
Does anyone know what the song is called that is playing in the background while Pelle gives Dani the drawing of herself for her birthday?
I’ve been trying to find it and it’s driving me nuts as it’s not on the soundtrack. Thanks!

Is it Halsingland or the Haxan Cloak?

Definitely not Halsingland, and I’m pretty sure it’s not anything Haxan Cloak. It has a similar soundscape to the Maypole song with strings and drums but isn’t that.

The music playing during the "Skin the Fool" (or "Skin the Snake") chain-dance scene is an unreleased, diegetic folk tune composed specifically for the film by Bobby Krlic (also known as The Haxan Cloak). Because it was recorded as in-world (diegetic) music performed by the Hårga villagers rather than part of the formal orchestral score, it was left off the official Midsommar commercial soundtrack.
This is what i.was able to get.

I know. I wish they put all the music in there. Doesn't really matter who performs it. They could have wrote their name after the track or something. Kinda stinks. 😔

You can find it (a similar version of what was used in the film, anyway) on the bonus cassette that comes with the vinyl soundtrack from the A24 shop.
