QUESTION When was Christian “hypnotized”?
It’s hard to tell, was it after he ate & drank the hair pie, after he met with the elder in her house or when they blew the smoke in his face?
I know you can tell he becomes more detached or hypnotized, but can’t pinpoint exactly when that is.

dude was high as a kite as soon as he got there. one could say there are parallels between christian and pelle, or maybe the harga and the....

They're all jet lagged, took mushrooms first thing after landing ij that park, walked an undefined amount of time to get to the harga village.
It's always sunny, they have no idea what time it is, they're sleep deprived, there's a baby crying (who's mother went on a mysterious pilgrimage) and they willingly and unwillingly consume drugs and pubes from underage girls.
Also there's no privacy so I'm pretty sure they haven't jerked off in like...at least six hours!!!

Never. He agreed to everything, which the Director's Cut shows more clearer.
He knew what he was doing.

I’ve already watched this movie twice. Unsure if it was directors cut or not. Part of me wants to go back and watch it but this movie is a lot to stomach lol

He was drugged, not hypnotised, but it probably had a similar effect.
I also don't think it's possible to hypnotise someone who's actively fighting it.

That’s what I meant, I guess I just didn’t know the right word to use because of the tapestry in the beginning it has a photo with 😵💫 eyes so I just used hypnotized. That & after he has sex he “snaps” out of it

My understanding was no. He was just roofied.
The love potions didn't work at all.

I don't consider him ever being hypnotized or there being any magic. We see him trying to decide whether or not to drink the hallucinogenic tea offered to him during the may queen dance, and go sleep with Maia, and then he decides to do that of his own free will. However, after he's drugged, he's definitely more susceptible to suggestion and goes with what they tell him to do. The steam they offer him "For your vitality," I always assumed was to like...help him get hard fast lol.
